Who is it for?

Energy top-up support is available to individuals who are unable to afford to top up their gas or electricity meter, or where their usual method of topping up is considered unsuitable or harmful. This may include using money intended for food, borrowing from unsafe sources, or other high-risk behaviours.

To be eligible, individuals must also meet at least one of the following:

• A mental or physical health condition affecting money management
• A diagnosis of severe mental impairment (SMI)
• Ongoing addiction or gambling-related issues
• Regularly struggle to budget due to other long-term challenges

How to request a top-up

Energy vouchers are only available to people referred by an approved referral partner or registered Fortis Secure Support users.
